Public Speaking
Just like life, the best speeches involve laughter, insight, challenge and great stories, so when it comes to public speaking Anne Harvey holds little back.
Speaking from the heart and as a career woman, mother of four boys, lover of life and a redhead to boot, Anne engages her audience in looking sideways at the trials, tribulations, joys and discoveries that make up our everyday. Motivational, fun and delivering plenty of food, Anne Harvey is an exceptional speaker for any occasion.
Based in Nelson, Anne is available to speak at conferences, luncheons and private functions throughout New Zealand. Please click here to enquire about her available dates for 2008/2009.
| "I recently attended the AAPNZ Administrators' breakfast at Brancott Estate, Blenheim where you were the guest speaker. I found you 'refreshing'! You were witty, insightful and motivational." Paula Hudson Administration & Support Services Manager NMIT Marlborough |
"Your speech at our volunteers' mid winter celebration was a resounding success -people have been talking enthusiastically about it ever since. Volunteers found it entertaining, affirming and inspiring. It started conversations and got people thinking – what more could we ask for?!" Yours sincerely, Kate Horrey Promotions co-ordinator |
Anne's speech held the audience spell bound with insight and wit and would rate as one of the most enjoyable guest speakers I have heard for a long time. Anne spoke of her time on a farm in the Marlborough Sounds of the difficulties raising four boys and the emotional challenges she faced in such an isolated spot. How she found herself owning a business with a staff of 12 at and is now helping mothers raise their sons through a difficult time in their development. Her advice was to check ourselves. Violence is not only physical but mental such as mockery, sarcasms, stony silence negative or unnecessary criticism. She talked about handling stress, how she helps women "shift the spotlight" and "adjust their clocks".

"Anne's speech is based on her life experiences and delivered with a disarming honesty that touches people and allows them to relate to the subject. A witty, often compassionate reminder that even in the busy, hectic, frantic lives we live, we can still say YES to our own needs, wishes, and dreams."
